Guidelines for Online Admission Process: ABC ID and UGC DEB ID Creation

Important Dates

The admission process is specified to commence from the July 2024 session onwards. No specific deadlines for application submission, examination dates, or admit card release dates are mentioned in this document.

Eligibility Criteria

Specific academic eligibility criteria for programs are not detailed in this document. However, applicants must have the following for ABC ID creation:

• ADHAAR Card
• PAN Card
• Driving License

(One of these is required for creating ABC ID via Digilocker).

Selection Process

This document describes an admission procedure, not a competitive selection process. Admission is completed by successfully following the outlined steps, including ID creation, information submission, document upload, and fee payment.

How to Apply

The admission process must be completed online by following the steps below:

• Step 1: Create ABC ID
• From the July 2024 session, an ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit account) is mandatory for accumulating and transferring academic credits as per UGC DEB directions.
• Create your ABC ID through the Digilocker facility.
• This can be done via the admission portal by clicking the “Click to Start” button.
• Required Documents for ABC ID: ADHAAR, PAN, or Driving License.
• If you already have an ABC ID, you may proceed to Step 2.

• Step 2: Create UGC DEB ID
• After creating your ABC ID, you must create a UGC DEB ID within the Admission Portal.
• The UGC DEB ID is a unique permanent number for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes.
• If you have an existing UGC DEB ID, you can use it.
• Enter your UGC DEB ID in the designated field and click “Get Your Details” to verify and confirm your information.
• If details are correct, click “Click to Register” for the programs.

• Step 3: Receive Login Credentials
• Upon clicking “Click to Register”, you will automatically receive your Username and Password for the admission portal on your registered mobile number and email (used for UGC DEB ID creation).
• Use these credentials to log in to the Admission Portal.
• A “Forgot Password” option is available if you forget your credentials.

• Step 4: Complete Application & Payment
• After successful login, you have to fill up your following details:
• Enter Personal Details.
• Select Programme & Enter Other Details.
• Upload Required Documents:
• Scanned copy of Passport size photograph.
• Scanned copy of Final Marksheet/Certificate of the last educational qualification.
• Scanned copy of any Photo Identity Card (PAN/Driving License/Aadhaar card).
• Scanned Signature.
• Scanned copy of PWD (Divyangjan), Caste, BPL Certificate (if applicable).
• *Note:* Each scanned document’s file size should be less than 500 KB and in jpg/jpeg/png format.
• Preview your uploaded information and documents.
• Pay the Fee Online using Debit/Credit Card, Netbanking, or Wallet/UPI (e.g., Phone Pay, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay).
• Download the receipt after successful payment.

Important Declaration:

Applicants must ensure all submitted information and documents are correct and authentic. Any misinformation or invalid documents detected at any stage will lead to the cancellation of admission, and the fee paid will not be refunded.
