Online Admission Process: ABC ID and UGC DEB ID Creation for July 2024 Session

Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process

How to Apply

The application process is conducted entirely online and involves several key steps:

1. Step 1: Create ABC ID

• As per the UGC DEB's directive, all applicants must possess an ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit account) for managing and transferring academic credits, effective from the July 2024 session.
• Applicants are required to create their ABC ID using the Digilocker facility. This can be initiated directly through the admission portal by clicking the “Click to Start” button.
• Essential documents for ABC ID creation include an ADHAAR card, PAN card, or Driving License.
• Applicants who already have an ABC ID can proceed directly to Step 2.

1. Step 2: Create UGC DEB ID

• Following the creation of the ABC ID, applicants must generate a unique and permanent UGC DEB ID on the Admission Portal. This ID will serve as a consistent identifier for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes and courses.
• Existing UGC DEB ID holders can utilize their ID for admission.
• After entering the UGC DEB ID in the designated field, click the “Get Your Details” button to verify pre-filled personal information. Confirm the accuracy of these details, then click “Click to Register” to proceed with program registration.

1. Step 3: Login to Admission Portal

• Upon clicking “Click to Register”, applicants will automatically receive their unique Username and Password via their registered mobile number and email address (the same used for UGC DEB ID creation).
• These credentials must be used to log in to the Admission Portal.
• A “Forgot Password” option is available on the portal in case login details are forgotten.

1. Step 4: Fill Details, Upload Documents & Pay Fee

• After a successful login to the Admission Portal, applicants must complete the following actions:
• Enter Personal Details: Provide all required personal information.
• Select Programme & Enter Other Details: Choose the desired academic program and input any additional relevant details.
• Upload Required Documents: Submit scanned copies of the following documents. Each file size should be less than 500 KB and saved in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format:
• Passport size photograph
• Final Marksheet/Certificate of the last educational qualification
• Any Photo Identity Card (PAN/Driving License/Aadhaar card)
• Scanned Signature
• PWD (Divyangjan), Caste, BPL Certificate (if applicable)
• Preview & Pay the Fee Online: Review all entered information and uploaded documents thoroughly for accuracy before proceeding to pay the admission fee online.
• Download Receipt: After successful payment, download the payment receipt for future reference.

Payment Methods

Accepted modes for online fee payment include:

• Debit/Credit Card
• Netbanking
• Wallet/UPI (e.g., Phone Pay, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay)

Important Note

Applicants are advised to ensure that all information and documents submitted during the admission process are accurate and authentic. Any detection of misinformation or invalid documents at any stage will lead to the cancellation of admission, and the fees paid will not be refunded.
