This notification provides comprehensive, step-by-step instructions for candidates to complete their online admission process for academic programs. The process mandates the creation of an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID and a UGC Distance Education Bureau (DEB) ID, followed by registration on the admission portal, submission of personal and program details, uploading of required documents, and online payment of fees. The guidelines are designed to streamline the admission for July 2024 session onwards, in compliance with UGC DEB directives.
Candidates must follow a multi-step online procedure to successfully complete their admission:
As per the UGC's Distance Education Bureau (DEB) directives, it is mandatory to have an ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit account) for accumulating and transferring academic credits from the July 2024 session onwards. To begin the admission process, candidates must create their ABC ID through the Digilocker facility. This can also be initiated via the admission portal by clicking the “click to start” button. For ABC ID creation, candidates must possess their Aadhaar card, PAN card, or Driving License. If an ABC ID already exists, candidates can proceed to the next step.
After successfully creating the ABC ID, candidates are required to create a UGC DEB ID on the Admission Portal. This UGC DEB ID is a unique permanent number essential for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programs/courses. Existing UGC DEB ID holders can use their pre-created ID. Candidates must provide their UGC DEB ID in the designated field, click on “Get Your Details” to verify the information, and then confirm. If the details are correct, proceed by clicking “Click to Register” for the chosen programs.
Upon clicking “Click to Register”, candidates will automatically receive a Username and Password for the admission portal via their registered mobile number and email ID (provided during UGC DEB ID creation). These credentials are to be used for logging into the Admission Portal. A “Forgot Password” option is available for password recovery.
After successfully logging into the Admission Portal, candidates must complete the following actions:
