Overview: Applications are invited in the Standard Form of application published in part-IX of the Assam Gazette from intending candidates for filling up 01 (one) vacant post of Peon (Grade IV) in the establishment of the District and Sessions Judge, Sonitpur, Tezpur, under the rules of the Government of Assam. Interview/Viva-Voce Dates: To be intimated in due course via the official website. Vacancies & Pay Scale: Total Vacancies: 01 (One) Post Name: Peon (Grade IV) Category: Unreserved Scale of Pay: Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 52,000/- + Grade Pay Rs. 3,900/- along with other allowances as admissible under Govt. of Assam rules. Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification: Minimum Class VIII pass. Candidates who have passed Class XII and above are not eligible for the post. Age Limit: Candidates must not be less than 18 years or more than 40 years of age as on 01.01.2026. Upper age is relaxable as per Govt. norms. Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. Employment Exchange: Must have registered their names in the Employment Exchange of Assam and possess a valid registration number. Other Conditions: Candidates must submit a Declaration in Form 'A' under Rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment) Rules, 2019. Monogamy rules apply. Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be required to appear for an interview/viva-voce. The list of eligible candidates along with interview dates and venue will be published on the official website. No separate call letters will be issued.
