How to Apply
Applicants must follow these step-by-step instructions to complete their admission:
Step 1: Create ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit account)
As per UGC’s Distance Education Bureau (DEB) direction, an ABC ID is mandatory for accumulating and transferring academic credits from this session onwards.
Create your ABC ID through the Digilocker facility. This can be done via the admission portal by clicking the “Click to Start” button.
Required for ABC ID: ADHAAR, PAN, or Driving License.
If you already have an ABC ID, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Create UGC DEB ID
After creating your ABC ID, you must create a UGC DEB ID on the Admission Portal.
The UGC DEB ID is a unique permanent number for all your Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes.
If you already have a UGC DEB ID, you can use it for admission.
Enter your UGC DEB ID in the designated place and click “Get Your Details” to confirm accuracy. If correct, “Click to Register” for the programmes.
Step 3: Login to Admission Portal
Upon clicking “Click to Register”, you will receive your Username and Password via mobile number and email (as provided during UGC DEB ID creation).
Use these credentials to log in to the Admission Portal.
A “Forgot Password” option is available if needed.
Step 4: Complete Application Details and Payment
After successful login, fill out the following details:
