Scope of Applicability: Financial assistance will be provided to eligible regular girl students enrolled in Government and Venture Educational Institutions for Higher Secondary, Graduation (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./ITEP), Post-Graduation (M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./B.Ed.), and Polytechnic Institutions. Private educational institutions are excluded. Beneficiaries must maintain discipline and adhere to institutional rules; any violation may lead to withdrawal of benefits. Girl students receiving a scooter under the Dr. Banikanta Kakati Merit Award (Pragyan Bharati Scheme) are not eligible, unless they opt out of the scooter scheme (this restriction does not apply to PG students). Undergraduate (U.G.) Programmes: Rs. 1250/- per month. Postgraduate (P.G.) Programmes: Rs. 2500/- per month. Government Polytechnic Institutions: 1st and 2nd Year: Rs. 800/- per month. 3rd Year: Rs. 1250/- per month. Eligibility Criteria The applicant must be an eligible girl student domiciled in Assam, irrespective of economic status. Married girls are generally not eligible, except for those enrolled in P.G. and B.Ed. programmes. In-service girls admitted to the B.Ed. course on deputation are not eligible. Daughters of Ministers, MPs, and MLAs are not eligible. Postgraduate students availing the CM's Jibon Prerana Scheme are not eligible. From Academic Year 2027–28 onwards, beneficiaries can avail either the Fee Waiver Scheme or MMNMA, but not both. Students who have not enrolled for the final examinations of the previous academic year are not eligible. Existing beneficiaries must re-apply with correct details and must have maintained 70% attendance in the previous year. Selection Process The selection process involves institutional verification: Students submit their application forms to their respective institutions. Heads of Institutions (HoIs) are responsible for collecting and verifying application forms through their portals and submitting correct data. HoIs must ensure that applicants meet all eligibility conditions, including 70% attendance in the previous year for existing beneficiaries. HoIs will notify concerned authorities if any student opts out or becomes ineligible and will ensure beneficiaries attend classes regularly. How to Apply Applications are processed through the respective educational institutions: Application Form: Students must fill out the prescribed application form and submit it to the institution where they are currently enrolled. Aadhaar Requirement: Applicants must possess a valid Aadhaar number and have an Aadhaar-seeded bank account. This information, along with a signed consent & declaration form, must be submitted during the MMNMA application process. Data Accuracy: Students must ensure that all provided data is correct and complete. Institutional Verification: Heads of Institutions will verify the application forms and submit the correct data via their respective portals. Nodal Officers: All Heads of Institutions are required to notify one or two Nodal Officers for the implementation of MMNMA within their institution. Guardian's Choice: Guardians have the option to choose whether their daughters avail the benefits under MMNMA. Payment Method: Financial assistance will be disbursed monthly via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) exclusively through the Aadhaar-based payment system to the Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts of eligible girl students.
