Vacancies & Pay Scale

• Total Vacancies: 50 Posts
• Sub Inspector (AB): 47 Posts (Grade Pay: Rs. 8,700)
• Constable (AB): 3 Posts (Grade Pay: Rs. 5,600)
• Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 - 70,000 (Pay Band No. 2) plus admissible allowances.

Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality/Residency: Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam.
• Employment Exchange: Must be registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
• Language: Must speak Assamese or other state language fluently.
• Age Limits (as on 01-01-2026):
• Sub Inspector (AB): 20-24 years (born between 01-01-2002 and 01-01-2006).
• Constable (AB): 18-21 years (born between 01-01-2005 and 01-01-2008).
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC/MOBC, and additional 3 years for eligible Sports Persons.
• Educational Qualifications:
• Sub Inspector (AB): Graduate in Arts/Science/Commerce or equivalent.
• Constable (AB): HSLC or equivalent examination passed.
• Physical/Medical: Strict height, chest, and medical standards apply (Detailed eye sight and health standards are mandated).

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on the criteria set by SLPRB. The process includes physical verification and document validation as per the requirements for Armed Branch (AB) battalions.
