Admission Process and Guidelines for UG/PG/PG Diploma Programmes – 2026

How to Apply

The admission process is entirely online and involves the following steps:

1. Step 1: Create ABC ID

• As per UGC’s Distance Education Bureau (DEB) directives, an ABC ID (Academic Bank of Credit account) is mandatory for accumulating and transferring academic credits from the July 2024 session onwards.
• Applicants must create their ABC ID using the Digilocker facility.
• This can be initiated through the admission portal by clicking the “Click to Start” button.
• Required for ABC ID: Aadhaar, PAN, or Driving License.
• If you already possess an ABC ID, you may proceed to the next step.

1. Step 2: Create UGC DEB ID

• After creating the ABC ID, applicants must create a unique permanent UGC DEB ID on the university's Admission Portal.
• This UGC DEB ID will be used for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes/courses.
• If you already have a UGC DEB ID, you can use it for admission.
• Enter the UGC DEB ID in the designated field and click “Get Your Details” to verify personal information.
• Confirm if the details are correct, then click “Click to Register” for the desired programmes.

1. Step 3: Login to Admission Portal

• Upon clicking “Click to Register,” applicants will automatically receive their Username and Password on the mobile number and email ID provided during UGC DEB ID creation.
• Use these credentials to log in to the Admission Portal.
• A “Forgot Password” option is available if credentials are misplaced.

1. Step 4: Complete Application and Payment

• After successfully logging in, applicants must fill in the following details:
• Enter Personal Details.
• Select Programme & Enter Other Details.
• Upload Required Documents.
• Preview the application and pay the fee online.
• Download the receipt after successful payment.

Required Documents

Applicants must have scanned copies (less than 500 KB, in JPG/JPEG/PNG format) of the following documents ready for upload:

• Passport size photograph.
• Final Marksheet/Certificate of the last educational qualification.
• Any Photo Identity Card (PAN/Driving License/Aadhaar card).
• Scanned Signature.
• PWD (Divyangjan), Caste, BPL Certificate (if applicable).

Payment Methods

Online payment can be made using:

• Debit/Credit Card
• Netbanking
• Wallet/UPI services (e.g., PhonePe, Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay)

Important Note

Applicants must ensure that all information and documents submitted are correct and authentic. Any misinformation or invalid documents detected at any stage will lead to the cancellation of admission, and the fee paid will not be refunded.
