• Date of Counselling & Admission: 14th September, 2026
• Reporting Time: 09:30 a.m.
• Commencement of Entrance Test: 10:00 a.m.
• End of Entrance Test: 11:00 a.m.
• Declaration of Result (Entrance Test): 12:30 p.m.
• Start of Counselling cum Admission Process: 02:30 p.m.

Eligibility & Selection Process

• Eligibility: Candidates must possess a B.Tech./B.E. degree.
• Selection Basis: Admission is strictly on merit.
• Evaluation: Selection will be based on either a valid GATE score or performance in an Entrance Test conducted by DUIET.
• Entrance Test: For non-GATE qualified candidates, an objective-type Entrance Test of B.Tech. standard, relevant to the respective engineering branch, will be conducted.
• GATE Qualified Candidates: Candidates with a valid GATE score are exempt from the Entrance Examination. They are required to report directly for original document verification.
• Result Declaration: Results of the Entrance Test will be declared on the same day as the test.
• Document Verification: Selected candidates must undergo original document verification.
• Admission Confirmation: Admission will be confirmed on the same day after successful document verification.
• EWS Reservation: EWS reservation will be provided as per Government norms.

Documents Required for Verification

Candidates must bring the following original documents for verification, along with two recent passport-size photographs and a photocopy of the acknowledgement receipt (if registered online):

• HSLC (Class X) Admit Card
• HS (10+2) Admit Card & Mark-Sheet
• B.Tech./B.E. Certificate and Mark-Sheet
• Valid Caste Certificate (if applicable, from a competent authority)
• Valid EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• Gap Certificate in the form of a Court Affidavit (for applicants who passed B.Tech./B.E. prior to 2026)

Fee Structure

• Admission Fee: Rs. 10,745.00
• First Semester Course Fee: Rs. 16,185.00

How to Participate

• Candidates who have registered through the Dibrugarh University online web portal should bring a photocopy of their acknowledgement receipt.
• Candidates opting for "On Spot" registration should report at the specified time and venue.
• GATE qualified candidates must report directly for original document verification at the specified reporting time.
• Non-GATE qualified candidates must appear for the Entrance Test at the specified time. Their results will be declared on the same day, followed by document verification and admission for selected candidates.

Important Notes

• The Entrance Test will be held at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Bhawan, Dibrugarh University.
• Selected candidates must take admission on the same day to confirm their seats.
