Eligibility Criteria

1. Assistant Professor (Contract)

• Age Limit: As per TISS norms.
• Educational Qualification:
• Master's degree with 55% marks in MA in Sociology, Political Science, Economics, History, or other related subjects from an Indian University or equivalent from a foreign university.
• Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET, OR possess a PhD degree with the conditions mentioned above (from a top 500 foreign university/institution as per QS, THE, or ARWU rankings).
• Desirable Qualifications:
• Ability to teach papers related to violence, memory, territoriality, nation-state, and border conflicts.
• PhD in a relevant field with two or more years of teaching experience.
• Research experience on Northeast India and its transnational neighborhood.
• Ability to teach interdisciplinary courses.
• Good research and publication track record.
• Ability to supervise Bachelor's and Master's students.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.

2. Boy’s Hostel Caretaker

• Age Limit: Up to 45 years.
• Educational Qualification: Class 12th/Higher Secondary (HS) Passed.
• Desirable Qualification:
• Minimum one year work experience in the same field is desirable.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Candidates with basic knowledge of Computer with Word and Excel will have an added advantage.
