Appointments will be made initially on a probation period of two years, extendable based on performance.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Scientist – B

• Age Limit: 35 years as of the closing date for online application.
• Essential Qualification: M.V.Sc/M.Sc/M.Tech or equivalent degree from a recognized University with an outstanding academic & publication record.
• Experience: 3 years of R&D experience in any of the NIAB thrust areas (livestock production/reproduction/developmental biology, animal nutrition, animal precision gene editing, veterinary gynaecology & theriogenology with expertise in AI, IVF, ICSI, OPU, ET etc.).
• Job Description: Expected to work in research projects at NIAB aimed at addressing infertility in livestock, animal nutrition, efficient feed utilization, and assist other scientists in basic research.
• Areas of Application: Animal Nutrition, Animal precision gene editing, Veterinary Gynaecology & Theriogenology.

2. Farm Manager

• Age Limit: 30 years as of the closing date for online application.
• Essential Qualification: Graduation in Animal Husbandry / Horticulture or Masters in Life Sciences with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Desirable Experience: Experience in handling a herd of farm and large animals and their day-to-day upkeep in research organizations or reputed farms.
• Job Description: To look after all animals kept in the animal farms, maintain animal data, and perform other jobs assigned by the competent authority.

General Conditions for Age and Experience: Age limit and number of years of experience will be reckoned as on the closing date of online application. The competent authority may relax age limit, qualification, experience, and other requirements for suitable candidates.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting: In case of a large number of applications, screening will be done to limit candidates based on higher/relevant qualifications and experience. The Institute reserves the right to enhance shortlisting criteria.
• Written Test and/or Skill Test / Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test and/or skill test and/or interview, as decided by the competent authority.
• Travel Allowance: Candidates called for a written test and/or skill test/interview will be paid single second-class rail fare from their actual place of undertaking the journey or normal place of residence, whichever is nearer to Secunderabad Railway Station, upon production of relevant travel documents.
• The decision of the Competent Authority in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, fixing criteria, mode of selection, etc., will be final and binding.

How to Apply

1. Online Application: Eligible candidates must apply ONLINE through the official NIAB website: `www.niab.res.in`.
2. Registration: Candidates need to register on the website with a username, password, and valid email ID. Already registered candidates may log in with their existing credentials.
3. Required Documents (Soft Copies): Before applying online, candidates should keep soft copies (PDF/JPEG format) of the following ready:

• Recent passport size photograph
• All educational certificates
• All experience certificates
• Caste / Category certificates
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from employer (if applicable)
• Any other relevant certificates or testimonials.

1. Application Fee: An application fee is payable as follows:

• Payment Method 1 (Demand Draft): Through a crossed Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank and valid for at least 3 months, in favour of “National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad” payable at Hyderabad (preferably Punjab National Bank, Gachibowli, Code No. PUNB0498700).
• Payment Method 2 (Online): Pay directly through the payment link: `https://epayments.in.worldline.com/niab`.
• Exemptions: PWD (Persons with Disability) and departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.

1. Submission: Upload all required certificates in the relevant part of the online application form.
2. Government/Semi-Government Employees: Employees in Government/Semi-Government Organizations/Autonomous Bodies/PSU’s must route their applications through proper channel. They should upload a ‘No Objection Certificate (NOC), Vigilance Certificate & Integrity’ from their present employer at the time of online application and produce the hard copy (in original) at the time of written/skill test. They must also submit a certificate at the time of written/skill test confirming no vigilance/disciplinary case is pending or contemplated against them.
