Eligibility Criteria
1. PGT (Physics, Mathematics)
Educational Qualification:
Two years’ Integrated Post Graduate Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; OR Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the relevant subjects.
B.Ed. or equivalent degree from NCTE recognized university with at least 50% marks; OR 3 years Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed from NCTE recognized university with at least 50% marks; OR 4 years Integrated degree with at least 50% marks from NCTE recognized university including B.Ed.

3. TGT (Maths, Social Science)
Educational Qualification:
Four years’ Integrated degree course from NCTE recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate including B.Ed Component; OR Bachelors/Honours Degree from a recognised University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject combination of Subjects and also in aggregate.
B.Ed Degree from NCTE recognised University/Institution with at least 50% marks; OR Three year integrated B.Ed – M.Ed from NCTE recognised Institution with at least 50% marks; OR One year B.Ed (Special Education) from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with at least 50% marks.
CTET: Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (Paper II) conducted by the Government of India.
Proficiency: To teach through English and Hindi languages.
4. TGT (Special Educator)
Educational Qualification:
Graduation Degree from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 50% marks.
Any of the following from recognized University/Institute:
B.Ed (Special Education) with at least 50% marks.
B.Ed (General) with at least 50% marks along with one year Diploma in Special Education.
B.Ed (General) with at least 50% marks along with two years Diploma in Special Education.
B.Ed (General) with at least 50% marks along with Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education (PGPD).
B.Ed (General) with at least 50% marks along with Post Graduate Professional Certificate in Special Education (PGPC).
PG Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation).
PG Diploma in Special Education (Multiple Disability, Physical and Neurological).
PG Diploma in Special Education (Locomotor impairment and Cerebral).
Secondary Level Teacher Training Course in Visual Impairment.
Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf.
B.A B.Ed with at least 50% marks in visual impairment.
Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI.
CTET: Qualified in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) (Elementary Stage) conducted by CBSE.
Relaxation up to 5 percent in qualifying marks allowed for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates in CTET.
Registration: With Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with a valid CRR number.
Proficiency: To teach in Hindi and English.
5. TGT (Assamese)
Educational Qualification: Equivalent to PRT qualification and as per KVS rules. Assamese language must have been studied up to Class 12th.
Proficiency: In teaching in English and Hindi languages.
6. Vocational Instructor
Educational Qualification: B.E. OR B.Tech. in Electronic & Communication Engineering.
Experience: Minimum One year Experience in the relevant field.
7. Counsellor
Educational Qualification: B.A./B. Sc. in Psychology from a UGC recognized University with Certificate Diploma in Counseling.
8. PRT
Educational Qualification:
Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary with at least 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent AND 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate (Class XII) with at least 50% marks or its equivalent AND 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) from Recognized Institution/Board.
Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate/Class XII with at least 50% marks AND 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from RCI.
