The NEXUS 1.0 MBA Orientation Programme commenced on August 7th, 2026, at the down town School of Business, Assam down town University. This program marks the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the newest MBA cohort. The orientation began with a ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing a transformative academic path, followed by a warm welcome from Prof. Dr. Seema Sharma, Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management. Dr. Sharma encouraged students to embrace lifelong learning, uphold professional values, and maximize every opportunity available.
Students were introduced to Assam down town University's vision, mission, values, legacy, academic leadership, and various faculties. Ms. Pampi Das, Associate Dean (Academics), provided a comprehensive overview of the MBA program, detailing its curriculum, academic framework, and potential career opportunities. Several faculty members, including Dr. Samannoy Baruah, Dr. Pramod Kumar, Mr. Gautom Bhattacharya, Dr. Dimpy Pathak Das, and Dr. Bishal Bhuyan, motivated students to pursue academic excellence, leadership, and professional growth. The day's events included interactive sessions with faculty, offering insights into the curriculum and expectations of management education, and inspiring critical thinking and purposeful leadership. The program concluded with a guided campus tour led by Dr. Jyoti Prasad Kalita and Mr. Rituparna Bhuyan, allowing students to explore the university environment and connect with peers and faculty, officially joining the dtSB family.
