The selection process for UIIC Administrative Officer (AO) Recruitment 2026 consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. Candidates must qualify at each stage to move forward in the recruitment process.
The Preliminary Examination is a qualifying test carrying 100 marks, with a total duration of 60 minutes. It includes the following sections:
The Main Examination differs for Generalist candidates and Hindi Officer candidates.
For Generalist Candidates:
The objective test carries 250 marks and consists of 200 questions, to be completed in 150 minutes. The sections include English Language, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness with special reference to the Financial Sector, and Computer Knowledge.
Candidates who qualify the objective test will also have to appear for a Descriptive Test of 30 marks, consisting of Letter Writing and Essay Writing, with a duration of 30 minutes.
For Hindi Officer Candidates:
The objective test carries 200 marks and consists of 150 questions, with a duration of 120 minutes. The paper covers English Language, Reasoning, Professional Knowledge of Hindi/English, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.
This is followed by a Descriptive Test carrying 50 marks, with a duration of 60 minutes. The test includes essay writing, letter writing, and translation in English/Hindi.
Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination will be shortlisted for the Interview. The number of candidates called for the interview may be up to three times the number of vacancies available in the respective category and discipline.
The final selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the prescribed stages of the recruitment process.
