Recruitment for Post-Doctoral Fellow and Project Associate-I at Gauhati University
Overview Gauhati University invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for two temporary positions—Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) and Project Associate-I—under a sponsored research project. These positions are co-terminus with the project, with an initial duration of one year, extendable up to three years based on performance and fund availability. Vacancies & Pay Scale Total Vacancies: 02 (Two) Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF): 01 vacancy | Salary: Rs. 77,000 per month + HRA (as per ANRF norms) Project Associate-I: 01 vacancy | Salary: Rs. 30,000 per month + HRA (as per ANRF norms) Eligibility Criteria Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF): Essential: Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Climate Science, Physics, Earth System Science, Environmental Science, Geography, Geoinformatics, or allied disciplines. Candidates who have submitted their thesis may apply (subject to ANRF norms). Research experience in Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP), Climate Modelling, AI/ML for climate applications, or Python programming. Project Associate-I: Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Applied Electronics, Electronics, Atmospheric Science, Applied Physics, Instrumentation, Physics, Meteorology, Geoinformatics, or related disciplines with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC). Practical experience in instrumentation, electronic circuit design, Python programming, or AI/ML model development. Selection Process Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
