Tezpur University Recruitment 2026: JRF & SRF Vacancies for DBT Research Project

Overview Tezpur University has announced vacancies for 03 temporary research positions (02 Junior Research Fellows and 01 Senior Research Fellow) for a DBT-sponsored research project titled "Designing High-Performing, Graph Neural Network-Based Novel Computational Tools for Multi-layered Protein Interaction Networks (PINs) Alignment and Identification of Network Modules/Motifs for Prioritizing Common Anti-Viral Drug Targets for Multiple Hepatotropic Viral Diseases." The project is under the supervision of Principal Investigator Prof. Swarup Roy, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Important Dates Application Deadline: Within 15 days from the date of the advertisement issuance. Vacancies & Pay Scale Total Vacancies: 3 JRF Vacancies: 02 SRF Vacancies: 01 JRF Pay: Rs. 37,000 + HRA per month. SRF Pay: Rs. 42,000 + HRA per month. Eligibility Criteria Essential Qualification (JRF/SRF): M.E./M.Tech./M.S./M.Sc./MCA/B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, IT, AI, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Life Sciences, or related fields. Additional Requirements: A valid CSIR/UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship) or GATE score, or qualification in a National Level Examination conducted by central government agencies (e.g., DBT, DST, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, etc.), or qualification in the DBT-BET Category-II merit list. SRF Specific: Must have two years of relevant research experience. Age Limit: JRF (up to 28 years) and SRF (up to 32 years) as of the last date of application. Age relaxation applies as per Government of India rules. Selection Process Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview. Verification of original documents will be conducted by the selection committee at the time of the interview.
