Post No. 02: CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS No. of Posts: 01 (Unreserved) Age: Preferably below 57 years Pay Scale: Pay Level - 14 (Rs. 1,44,200 - 2,18,200) Mode of Recruitment: On tenure/deputation basis for a term of 05 years or his/her attaining the age of 62 years or attaining the age of superannuation in his/her parent office, whichever is earlier. Post No. 03: SUPERINTENDENT ENGINEER No. of Posts: 01 (Unreserved) Age: Preferably below 56 years Pay Scale: Pay Level -13 (Rs.1,23,100 - 2,15,900) Mode of Recruitment: By deputation or appointment on tenure basis for a period of five years or till attaining the age of superannuation (60 years), whichever is earlier. Eligibility Criteria Candidates must meet the specific educational qualifications, experience, and age limits for each post, along with general conditions. LIBRARIAN Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade. At least 10 years experience as a Librarian at any level in a University Library OR 10 years of teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science OR 10 years experience as a College Librarian. Evidence of innovative Library services, including the integration of ICT. A Ph.D. Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/Documentation/ Archives and Manuscript keeping. CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade. At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level -11 and above OR 8 years of service in the Academic Level -12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. OR Comparable experience in research establishments and/or other institutions of higher education. OR 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post. SUPERINTENDENT ENGINEER Essential Qualification & Experience: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil or Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution with 55% marks. At least 10 years of regular service as Executive Engineer or equivalent in Pay Level -11 or above in Central/State Governments/ Autonomous Bodies/ Statutory Organizations/ PSUs/ Universities or recognized Research/Higher Educational Institutions. General Conditions for Eligibility Age Relaxation: No upper age limit for regular employees of Jawaharlal Nehru University who have rendered at least three years of regular service on the closing date for application. Marks Relaxation: 5% relaxation in percentage of marks at Bachelor’s/Master’s level (from 55% to 50%) will be extended to SC/ST/PwD categories and existing incumbents already in the University system as per UGC guidelines. Computer Knowledge: Knowledge of Computer applications is necessary for all posts. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD categories must submit certificates in the prescribed format by the Govt. of India. Selection Process The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the interview, on the recommendation of the Selection Committee. The University reserves the right to fix criteria for screening the applications to reduce the number of candidates called for an interview. Merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and requisite experience does not entitle a person to be called for an interview. After submission of online applications, the printout of the same is to be forwarded through the employer along with: Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs)/ACRs for the preceding five years up to 2025. Vigilance Clearance Certificate duly certified by the Competent Authority. No Objection Certificate (NOC).
